Damon Albarn of Gorillaz invited a special guest to play Blur’s “Song 2” Saturday night.
He welcomed onstage for a “cross pollination” Blur guitarist Graham Coxon during their Demon Dayz Festival in Pico Rivera. This was the first Blur song Gorillaz has covered, though Albarn and Coxon have played together, most recently at Blur’s The Magic Whip reunion show in 2015.
The band started the song in a characteristically Gorillaz way until Coxon joined them onstage.
