Arcade Fire’s trippy ‘Chemistry’ video teams with ‘Rick & Morty’ animators

The wildly imaginative music video for Arcade Fire’s “Chemistry,” off Everything Now, begins with a bride falling in love with her caterer at her wedding and ends with a dance party during Fat Tuesday in New Orleans. Oh ya, and the couple is half-human and half dog and cat, respectively.

Ray Tintori (Beasts of the Southern Wild) directed the video, which recruited Rick & Morty animators to re-imagine the actors with animal heads. There’s a fight involving a gang of shark-men, a flying escape through space, and Tootie Tootz of Big Freedia: Queen of Bounce stars.

The music video follows up a 16-minute short film Money + Love starring Toni Collette, released earlier this year. The video combines “Put Your Money on Me” and “We Don’t Deserve Love” off the Grammy-nominated Everything Now. Arcade Fire is currently playing on their Now Continued world tour.
