San Leandro’s small batch craft brewery Cleophus Quealy Beer Company gives back

Photos by Alex Vakulin

This week’s Beer for Breakfast featured San Leandro’s small-batch craft brewery Cleophus Quealy Beer Company with their brewmaster Dan Watson. Dan guided Alicia and me through a tasting of their exceptional beers, including their Citrus Sour and their Cherry Red tart ale that’s aged in oak barrels. Alicia and I were not only impressed by the beers, but Alicia was particularly thrilled to hear that their taproom features Canasta Kitchen Food Truck which specializes in food from all over Latin America.

If you want to check out the Cleophus Quealy beers at their taproom you can mosey on in Wednesday through Sunday, or check them out during one of their Saturday Socials, a philanthropic event that takes place the second Saturday of every month.

The next Saturday Social takes place April 14th in partnership with Project Open Hand, which helps provide seniors in the community with nutritious meals.

Listen in to the podcast below for all the beer knowledge!
