KFOG is Live in 2018

As a community, it doesn’t feel like we are coasting into the end of 2017; it feels like we are skidding across the finish line, clothes in shreds and organs barely intact.

That said, KFOG is entering 2018 with the same relentless optimism that got us through the year that was. Our belief in the strength of this community, in empathy for our neighbors, and in the cyclical nature of things is unwavering, and we at KFOG are committed to being a reliably bright, cheerful, informative, and committed companion to you through the upcoming year. We will be a sanctuary through the tough times, and a soundtrack to the best times.

In the next month alone, we will bring you private concerts from Brandi Carlile and Con Brio. We look forward to seeing you here!

Just as Rosalie provided the soundtrack to your Christmas Eve and Day on KFOG, she will be bringing you a special edition of Acoustic Sunrise on New Year’s Eve. The theme is the “Best of Acoustic 2017”.
She’ll dip into noteworthy releases of the year by Ed Sheeran, The National, Father John Misty, Ani DiFranco, Jason Isbell, John Mayer, the Head & the Heart, Aimee Mann, and dozens more. You can listen live on Sunday morning from 6a-11a, and we will feature an encore presentation of the show on Monday from 6a-11a.

Change is a constant, we know this. The last week alone has presented significant change on the Bay Area radio dial. We think that KFOG is a hospitable place for music fans that have been displaced. And we find kinship with all music fans, makers, curators, selectors, and presenters. With that in mind, as we head in to 2018, KFOG’s message to you and the greater community is:

We Are Live.

We are still here, and we aren’t going anywhere!

Gratitude and respect, from your live, local KFOG family.
