Foo Fighters perform at the Acropolis in ‘Landmarks Live’ Trailer

The Foo Fighters tear it up at the Acropolis and tour Athens as part of their upcoming concert-special for PBS’ new series, Landmarks Live in Concert. The episode will air November 10th. The trailer didn’t give too much away, but it featured performances of classics like, “Everlong” and “Times Like These,” as well as newer songs “La Dee Da” and “Dirty Water,” both of which will be featured on their upcoming album, Concrete and Gold.

Many may not realize the historical significance of the Acropolis, but the band knows just how important this place is, calling it a “once in a lifetime experience.” David Grohl went on to say:

We’ve done some crazy things over the last 20 years, but I think this might be the craziest thing the Foo Fighters have ever done.

The clip also features the band traveling around the rest of Athens with Landmarks Live host Chad Smith, the Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer. The series primarily features artists performing in or around special landmarks all around the world. More recently, Alicia Keys, Brad Paisley and Andrea Bocelli were featured.

As for the Foo Fighters, their new album Concrete and Gold is set to drop September 15th. Following the release, the band will embark on their North American tour October 14th in Richmond, Virginia.
