This is the third episode in our Inside Outside Lands series of interviews. We found bands that took the stage this year at Golden Gate Park that we think are worth checking out.

Back in 2012 Real Estate hooked up with quirky New York event promoter Todd Patrick who was known for putting on shows at unique and interesting spaces. He had gotten into a bit of a groove, putting on shows at the same spaces, so the members of Real Estate approached ‘Todd P’ and asked to do a show at a place he’d never done one before.

“We were like, ‘We want to do an old-school, classic, weird thing,” bassist Alex Bleeker told Arthur Ballesteros before the band’s show at Outside Lands.

“And he was like, ‘Oh I got this.'”
