Pixies stopped by the set of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to play their single “Tenement Song” off their new album Head Carrier. The title of the sixth album references St. Denis, a cephalophore, who carries his own head. The album was recorded in London with a new bassist Paz Lenchantin (Perfect Circle, Zwan, and Queen of the Stone Age), who joined the Pixies on tour for their previous 2014 album Indie Cindy.

The thirty-one-year-old band recently performed on Conan with their eighth track song “Bel Esprit”. Currently, Pixies are on tour with Whitney and will make their way to the Fox Theater on December 7th and City National Civic in San Jose on December 10. KFOG has your chance for tickets!
