Cold War Kids- “Love Is Mystical”

Cold War Kids released their lead single “Love Is Mystical” along with “Can We Hang On“, “Restless” and “So Tied Up” featuring Bishop Briggs. “Love Is Mystical” charted #6 on Billboard Alternative Songs. Singer Nathan Willet informs NME the inspiration behind the song, “It’s about supernatural love – looking for inspiration and meaning, surrendering to feeling, love calling out your name; that journey we must go on to find it.” Willet got the idea after reading the book Falling Upward by Franciscan Monk Richard Rohr. Their sixth album LA Divine is currently out.

Kevin Morby- “I Only Have Eyes for You”

Folk musician Kevin Morby from the bands Woods and The Babies steps into a different decade with his 60s cover of “I Only Have Eyes for You,” famously sung by The Flamingoes. String instruments accompany Morby’s tenor vocals make this cover a nostalgic hit. The track is featured on Resistance Radio: The Man In The High Castle with other blues, soul, and doo-wop covers by various artists including Beck, The Shins, Michael Kiwanuka and more. The album was produced by Danger Mouse with Sam Cohen and is available on Amazon.

Hinds- “Garden”

Hinds hails from Madrid, Spain. Due to legal issues with another group, the band was forced to change their name from the original Deers to Hinds (female deer). Currently, they’re an all-girl indie-pop group with a debut album Leave Me Alone. Hinds will be performing at The Chapel for two nights April 13-14 and make an appearance at Coachella on April 16.

Miami Horror- “Real Slow”

Miami Horror is a four-piece indietronica bands that hails from Australia. Their songs “Sometimes” and “All It Ever Was” were featured in video games Grand Theft Auto V and FIFA 16. The band has released numerous singles, including “I Look to You” featuring Kimbra off their first album Illumination, and “Real Slow” from their second album All Possible Futures. Their latest EP The Shapes with tracks including “Dark Love” and “Leila“. Miami Horror refreshes the nu-disco genre with an 80s funk dance-floor rhythm and contemporary beats.

K.Flay- “Make Me Fade”

Singer K.Flay describes her music as “genre-defying,” blending hip-hop with indie rock components. The San Francisco Chronicle illustrates her debut album Life as a Dog as “do-or-die inspiration, mixing rapid-fire verses with sleek melodies and intricate electronic arrangements.” “Make Me Fade” is the second track off that album. She has previously toured with Awolnation and Third Eye Blind. Her newly released sophomore album Every Where Is Some Where includes hit singles “Blood In The Cut” and “Black Wave,” each with an interesting and darker edge.
