Thank You !
First off, a big thank you to all who participated in The National Brain Tumor Foundation's walk in Golden Gate Park last Saturday...it was so gratifying to see so many warm-hearted people in one place...cool-
The NBTF raised more much needed funds last Saturday than they ever have !
Nice job-
I am looking forward to seeing you all THIS Saturday for the KFOG Kaboom...my (ROCK) Mama is on this coast for that and Mother's Day, too...let's hear it for the mother-lovers everywhere this weekend! Bring yours with you.
Giving away Kaboom box seats all this week and one of my winners is a mom of 5--count 'em FIVE...I'm glad she'll be getting the VIP treatment this year.
I'm sure her kids will have more than their share of fun with our kid's stage, etc happening at Kaboom, too!
On a serious note, heartbreaking and frustrating to follow the news from Burma with the cyclone wreaking such devastating havoc on so many...currently I'm hearing over a million homeless and a death toll near 100,000 people.
The military dictatorship has been making it nearly impossible for all the people who want to help. The slow-downs have many governments frustrated and I can only imagine the feelings and dire needs of the people of Burma, who have already been facing incredible difficulties with basic needs even before this natural disaster.
I received info on an organization that has helped the people of Burma for years and are, as I understand it, already poised to offer quick help...without the difficulties many who are trying to get into the region are facing delivering aid.
Most of us humans see a need and simply want to help, right? So, I thought I'd share this info with you-
in San Francisco-

Thanks for reading this and for listening-
I'll be talking to you
on KFOG!
Enjoy and Be Well-
