Francesca Lee Bio
Ever so often and artist exceeds expectations and manages to balance both artistic vision and unprocessed talent to make one of those albums you know is ripe for an extraordinary journey. Like a pearl on a string, The Pieces left delivers these goods and lives up to the San Francisco buzz that’s been stirring up about the 28 –year old singer-songwriter. The ten songs on the album offer an intimate, spirited showcase for her talents as both an uncommonly introspective songwriter and effortlessly expressive vocalist. Recorded in the artist’s hometown of San Francisco with noted producer and multi instrumentalist Michael Winger (Beth Waters, Kronos Quartet, Super Adventure Club), The Pieces left features Jake Wood on drums, and guitarist Jeff Johnson.
Originally from Santa Monica, CA, Lee moved to the bay area when she was just a year old. At the age of eighteen she went on to study music at Paul McCartney’s Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts where she began her musical journey.
With The Pieces Left establishing her as one of San Francisco’s most exciting newfound musical forces, Francesca Lee is eager to share her songs with her rapidly expanding grassroots fan base.
