Rock and Roll Thingy
Thursday, May 8th: The Rock Thingy comes courtesy of Live Nation visit www.livenation.com. Stevie Wonder will be playing at Shoreline on July 5th and in Concord at the Sleep Train Pavilion on July 8th - Tickets will go on sale on Monday, May 12th at Live nation.com Elvis Costello and the Imposters' Momfuku is now out on CD; it came out on vinyl a couple of weeks ago, but now you can get the CD. And B.N.L for the kids ... Barenaked Ladies Snack Time is available. And next week, the Cure will try something a little different... The Cure will will put out a new single on the 13th of the month, every month, leading up to the release of their 13th studio album in September... fun huh? Starting Tuesday (May 13th) digital and physical singles will be available for Cure fans to buy each month, on the 13th, and of course each single comes with a b-side that won't be on the full album. By the way the Album doesn't hav a title yet, but the first Single "The Only One", sound really good, it's up on The Cure Website. The Cure will be in our neck of the woods playing live on May 28th at the HP Pavilion... have fun at that show Fogheads! And Finally it really is all about KaBoom!! This Saturday we ask Fogheads to join us in full day of fun, music, and fireworks. It will be our 15th annual KaBoom, and things are looking good. San Francisco's own Matt Nathanson will take the stage around 4:30, followed by Collective Soul, and headlining this year, Los Lobos. After three great live acts we will all migrate to the end of piers 30/32 in San fRancisco for the KaBoom Fireworks show. It's always fun to see those fireworks coreographed to the KFOG soundtrack - and don't forget to have your radio close so you can listen along as you watch the sky art. Saturday - 4pm, get your tickets now for 15 dollars, on the day of Kaboom tickets will only be available at the gate, for 20 dollars ... cash.
