32nd Annual Glide Floss Bridge to Bridge Run
Glide Floss Bridge to Bridge Run The 32nd Annual Glide Floss Bridge to Bridge Run is set for Sunday, October 5. The 12k/7k run/walk has been dubbed "America's Most Beautiful Run", starting at the foot of the Bay Bridge and following a along the Embarcadero to the Golden Gate before winding up in the Presidio for the post-race party. The post-race expo and party is free and open to the public, featuring live music on the KFOG Stage with Local Scene artist The Uptones, children's entertainment and interactive games, sponsor booths and food and drinks. The Uptones formed in 1981 while still in high school in Berkeley. They were the first band on the West Coast devoted to playing ska, and they have since played to skanking crowds throughout the West. Several of their recordings have been regional hits, and they have just released their first CD, Skankin' Foolz Unite. Several tracks are are available for free download at at www.uptones.com.
