Why the move?
Piers 30/32 recently went through a substructure assessment, revealing deterioration of both piers, which means they can no longer support the heavy equipment and vehicles necessary to produce large events like KFOG KaBoom. (Don't worry, you can still park there for Giants games.)

Where will the actual event take place?
KFOG KaBoom will be set up in the parking lot outside of the stadium, south of Gate A. Click here for a basic event map. We will be posting a more detailed map as the event approaches.
*Please note that the Candlestick Point State Recreation Area will be closed on May 22.
Weather
We know what you're thinking - we have frigid memories from ballgames at the 'Stick, too. So we looked back at recent history and found that May has been typically nice, with minimal to no fog. Yes, it's San Francisco and always a crap shoot, but weather shouldn't be a concern any more than it was on the Piers. Which also means you should still bring a sweater.

Where will the fireworks launch?
The fireworks barge will be positioned in the Bay off the south of Candlestick Point. This new location allowed us to keep the KFOG KaBoom fireworks comparable to years past, a BIG show shot from eye level to high in the sky, with unique and larger shells (up to 10"). Map

KFOG KaBoom Box
The KFOG KaBoom Box is a special area with the best view of the fireworks, free food and beverages*, private potties, and seating areas. New this year - access to a preferred viewing area near the Main Stage! A limited number of KaBoom Box tickets are still available at Ticketmaster.com.
*Please note that chairs will not be provided in the preferred viewing area near the Main Stage so feel free to bring your own chair, no taller than 36".

What to Bring:
-Sweater or jacket - San Francisco can get chilly when the sun goes down!
-Sunscreen
-Comfortable shoes
-Radio and headphones tuned to KFOG 104.5 FM
-Money for food/beverages. Day of show ticket sales will be cash only, but new this year, some concession stands will accept credit/debit cards
-Blanket and/or low lawn chairs, no taller than 36"
Don't Bring/Prohibited Items:
-Dogs and/or other pets, except service animals
-Coolers/Ice chests
*Soft-sided lunch bags or small coolers are allowed.
-Large closed bags (larger than 14"x14"x10") or bags with closed/zippered pockets.
*Open bags are allowed but will be subject to search prior to entry.
-Any glass bottles, cans or alcoholic beverages.
*Factory sealed plastic water bottles are allowed.
-Weapons of any type, including hard silverware
-Barbeques
-Tall lawn chairs over 36" high
-Roller skates, skateboards, scooters and bicycles. Self park & lock bike parking area will be available in the parking lot.
-Any projectile, such as balls, balloons, Frisbees, etc.
-Laser pointers
-Unauthorized hand-outs, flyers, etc.
-Smoking
-Intoxication
-Unauthorized fireworks
Automobile Parking
Parking will be available in the Candlestick Park interior parking lot for just $15. Lots open at 1pm, and we highly recommend carpooling to the show with friends and family. No tailgating will be allowed; each car will be allowed to take up just one space to accommdate as many Fogheads as possible.
Additional parking may be available in exterior parking lots, but KFOG has no control over their pricing, so come early to get into the main lot!

Motorcycle Parking
Motorcycle Parking will be available in the Candlestick Park interior parking lot for just $10 per motorcycle.
Bicycle Parking
An area for self park and lock of bicycles will be available near the event gate. Park at your own risk. Map coming soon.
ADA Parking
Accessible Parking will be available in designated areas along the olive trees and near the event entrance. Make sure to display your placard and follow the directions of the parking staff.

Public Transit
BART

Take BART to the Embarcadero Station in San Francisco. Exit the station and walk northeast along Market Street to the Ferry Building, about a 6 minute walk. Take a roundtrip Bauer's hybrid shuttle to KFOG KaBoom and then back to the Ferry Building after the event. More here.

Take BART to the Millbrae Station. Exit the station and take a roundtrip Bauer's hybrid shutte to KFOG KaBoom and then back to Millbrae BART after the event. More here.

Caltrain

Take Caltrain Northbound and get off at the Bayshore Station. Candlestick Park is about a 15 minute walk from the station, or you can take a roundtrip Bauer's shuttle to KFOG KaBoom and then back to the Bayshore Station after the event. More here.

Shuttle Service
Bauer's will provide Solar-Hybrid shuttles to KFOG KaBoom from 3 convenient public transit locations: SF Ferry Building, Bayshore Caltrain, and Millbrae BART. Outbound shuttles will leave between 2-5:30pm, with inbound shuttles leaving Candlestick between 8:30-11pm.
Roundtrip shuttle tickets are just $10 (plus $2 service fee), available at Ticketmaster.com. We recommend you buy event and shuttle tickets at the same time to avoid paying an extra order fee.
Shuttle sales will cut off @ 4pm Friday, and tickets will not be available at the pick-up locations, so get 'em now here.

Private Boating
The fireworks barge will be positioned off the southern edge of Candlestick Point, and the Coast Guard will maintain a safety radius of 1000-1200'. Please practice safe boating, follow Coast Guard instructions, and don't forget to tune your radio to 104.5 FM for the soundtrack! Map
