Webster called Detroit Rock City home before Kiss called Detroit Rock City "Detroit Rock City."

Growing up there, he was raised on a musical diet that progressed from the amazing Top 40 radio of CKLW ("The Big 8"!) to the format-defying rock broadcasts of WABX-FM & WWWW-FM.

At Michigan State University in '77, he was just in time for the musical explosion of Punk and New Wave, and he has the haircut photos to prove it. He got degreed, then got married, and then got paid for doing radio.

His broadcasting travels have taken him to Lansing, MI and Pittsburgh, PA. Since 1996, he’s been on the radio here in San Francisco.

Webster and his wife live in the City, the place they always thought they belonged. When you’re not hearing him on KFOG, you might see him running along The Embarcadero, taking in a Giants game, or sipping a good IPA somewhere.
