If you’re looking for a cheap free date for Thursday night, need some culture, or need no excuse, the museums in San Francisco have you covered.

Many will open their doors for free to the public on Thursday, September 13 from 5-9 pm in celebration of the Global Climate Action Summit taking place September 12-14 in San Francisco.

The night will feature special talks for the Culture for Climate celebration at SFMoMA, including a look at the green engineering of SFMoMA, a look at some of the most provocative works currently on display, and a discussion with David Brenner, the creator of SFMoMA’s Living Wall.

The list of participating museums includes the S.F. Museum of Modern Art, SOMArts, the Contemporary Jewish Museum, Museum of the African Diaspora, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, California Historical Society, Children’s Creativity Museum and American Book Binders Museum.
