Indie-rock stalwarts Death Cab for Cutie have announced new album Thank You For Today will be released on August 17th to coincide with a fall tour that includes a stop at The Greek in Berkeley in September. The drop came their new song “Gold Rush,” which you may have already heard this morning on The Woody Show.

Thank You For Today will be the band’s 9th studio album, and first since the 2015 Kintsugi record netted the band a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Album.The upcoming album will feature new members Dave Depper (guitar/keyboard) and Zac Rae (keyboard/guitar), who have been touring with the band since 2015.
