Great Gigs in February: Robert Plant, Walk the Moon, X-Ambassadors

I’m going to jump at the chance to see a rock royalty figure like Robert Plant at a such a relatively tiny venue like the Fox! Tickets aren’t cheap, but Plant always provides a premium experience; he surrounds himself with top-shelf musicians then steps back and lets them take the limelight. Two thoughtful singer/songwriters come to The Freight this month: Bruce Cockburn, the Canadian-turned-San Franciscan, and the introspective, insightful John Gorka. Cockburn is sold out, but the Freight always holds some SRO tickets at the door. And the celebrated Australian guitarist Tommy Emmanuel will be showing off his mad skills at Slim’s on the 11th. His latest album “Accomplice One” features a lot of duets, so maybe we’ll see some special guests!
