This morning’s Beer for Breakfast was a special treat, as Alicia and I were joined by Brewmaster Scott Ungerman from San Francisco beer institution Anchor Brewing. Anchor has been brewing their world famous steam beer in the city since 1896, back when steam was a relatively new technology! Scott breaks down the history of the company and their brewing process, in addition to guiding us through a tasting of three of their most popular beers: Anchor Steam, Anchor Christmas Ale, and the Anchor Coffee Porter.

Scott also gave Alicia and I a preview of the new Anchor Public Taps, their new brewery and bar that opened up in late October, just across the street from their iconic Potrero Hill brewery.
