No Name and Kari talk wunderkind jazz pianist Hiromi and the San Francisco Youth Orchestra

Pianist Hiromi Uehara has gone viral – people just can’t get enough of her. She’s taken jazz to a whole new level, with a her stage presence that has no match. She’s young, but plays the piano with so much energy that, even if you’re not a huge jazz fan, you can’t help but be overwhelmed by her talent.

Another can’t-miss performance this season is the San Francisco Symphony’s Youth Orchestra on November 19. This concert is great if you have kids or teens who are interested in music! The Youth Orchestra is made up of Bay Area teens from 12 to 21 years old. It’s really unique to have so many talented teens on one stage who are fully supported by one of the best symphonies in the country. They’ll be playing Rachmaninoff’s beautiful Piano Concerto No. 2 and Edward Elgar’s enchanting Enigma Variations.

On this episode, I chat with Kari from Red Curtain Addict about the performances this season you can’t miss.
