It’s official: Kate Winslet will be the latest actress to join the sequel of ALL sequels, Avatar 2. She’s also be joining the four consecutive sequels that will total over $1 billion spent on budget alone.

Kate will be seen in 2020 in Avatar 2. Keep in mind she worked with James Cameron on Titanic 20 years ago, in 1997. So she knows him well. They will no doubt make history again; given that Titanic was the most successful movie of all time until Avatar came out in 2009.

James Cameron has been quoted saying

Kate and I have been looking for something to do together for 20 years, since our collaboration on Titanic, which was one of the most rewarding of my career. I can’t wait to see her bring the character of Ronal to life.

So far we’re being told that Avatar 2 is expected in 2020, with Avatar 3 following in 2021, then Avatar 4 in 2024 and Avatar 5 in 2025. So we have at least 8 more years of Avatar!

Let’s hope James Cameron makes it that long; he is a young 63 these days.
