Tom Petty was brouSanta Monica hospital, Monday afternoon. He was found unconscious and not breathing in his Malibu home Sunday night after suffering full cardiac arrest, according to TMZ reports.

According to their sources, the star was rushed to to UCLA Santa Monica Hospital where he was put on life support and his pulse returned.

He was 66-years old.

Update 10/2/17 6 pm: A previous report stating that Tom Petty had passed away was incorrect. We are now learning that he is hospitalized in grave condition and not expected to live following a cardiac arrest earlier today, but is hanging on. Our thoughts are with him and his family in this trying time.
