Paul McCartney, Bono, Ryan Tedder advocate action on climate change

Along with Al Gore’s continued effort to combat global warming and to spread the message of imminent climate change, Paul McCartney, Bono, Ryan Tedder and other stars have banded together to advocate Gore’s new film, An Inconvenient Sequel. The film released July 28th, more than 10 years after Gore’s original documentary, An Inconvenient Truth, which won two Academy Awards for Best Documentary and Best Original Song.

The clip titled “Why I’m Inconvenient” ties the stars sentiments to why they feel the need to support this cause. “I’m inconvenient because more often than not, doing the right thing is not always the most convenient thing,” says Tedder. “The poorest of the poor are furious because they’re hit first and worst by climate change,” notes Bono. Andra Day added, “I’m inconvenient because I still believe that something can, and has to be done for our future generations.”

Other stars that shared this sentiment included Randy Jackson, Pharell, Rainn Wilson, Adam Levine, The Chainsmokers, Camila Cabello, Jennifer Hudson, DNCE, Steve Aoki and Shailene Woodley. Ryan Tedder actually co-wrote the soundtrack to An Inconvenient Sequel with his song “Truth to Power.”
