Lyft and Taco Bell partner up for late night munchie pit stops

This feels like a game-changer. Lyft is partnering with Taco Bell in an effort to provide “ride-thrus,” a new option coming to the app that presents riders the choice to make a drive-thru stop at Taco Bell on the way to their destination when users select the new “Taco Mode.”

In a press release, Lyft stated”

Taco Mode is an in-app option for Lyft riders, providing passengers with the ultimate Taco Bell experience, including a free Doritos Locos Taco when you ride-thru Taco Bell on the way to your next destination.

They also mentioned that a special taco-themed car and a custom in-car menu will be included when choosing this ride share option.

Taco Bell also stated that the in-app option is rolling out first in Orange County, California beginning Thursday, July 27-Sunday, July 30 and then August 3-7 between 9PM-2AM.

Lyft says it plans to expand in other areas later this year and nationwide in 2018.
