Here are words I never thought I would utter: Chris Robinson is calling for a drug and alcohol test for both himself and Kate Hudson. It is a part of an on-going custody battle the divorced couple is facing. The two stars have been co-parenting their son Ryder for years, seemingly amicably. I’ve always thought of them as friendly exes, so this definitely comes to a surprise to me and many.
I was also shocked to learn that Chris wants Kate to pay for the initial court fees, even though he’s filing the petition. Those fees come to a whopping $7,500, though I’m sure it feels like chump change for these two.
I’ve always thought of Kate Hudson as a poster child for health and fitness, so I’d be interested to know if she fails the testing. Chris on the other hand? We’ll see!
The two got married in the early 2000s and divorced when Ryder was 2 years old. Kate went on to date Matt Bellamy of Muse, while Chris married his third wife, Allison Bridges. The couple welcomed Chris’ second child and their first daughter together, Cheyenne, in 2009.
